Keyuo Craver (Keyou Boderek Craver) was born on August 22, 1980 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Harleton (TX), Craver attended the University of Nebraska. Craver made his professional debut in the NFL in 2002 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 2002 was Keyuo Craver's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
Acquired
Signed with Edmonton as a free agent in April 2005.
Appeared in five regular season games making his CFL debut in Week 1 vs. Ottawa. Finished the season starting the last three regular season games. Recorded 11 defensive tackles and one pass knockdown. Keyou also returned three kickoffs for 61 yards and seven punts for 57 yards. West Division Semifinal: four defensive tackles and one fumble recovery. West Division Championship: four defensive tackles, two pass knockdowns and one interception. Grey Cup: five defensive tackles and two pass knockdowns.
College/Personal
Played four years at Nebraska (1998-2001) racking up 192 tackles in 47 games, including 2.5 sacks, 10 TFL and 41 PKD (second on the school's career-record list). He was an All-American and Jim Thorpe Award candidate as a senior and played in every game upon his arrival as a true freshman in 1998. He was also named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll three times. Craver was a four-time state champion in the triple jump in high school and was a member of the Huskers' track team in 2001. Keyuo is a member of the Eskimo basketball team.
Pro
Drafted in the 4th round (125th overall) by the New Orleans Saints in 2002. Played in 12 games over two years recording 22 tackles.
