[edit] Biography

Kevin Young (Kevin Stacey Young) was born on June 16, 1969 in Alpena, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on July 12, 1992 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1993, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 6 home runs and 47 RBI. Young played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Kevin Young's best season was 1999, when he slugged 26 home runs, hit for a .298 average and knocked in 106 runs.

Young was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, Young met former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski after the 2000 season. Radomski claims he sold Young one or two kits of HGH in 2001, as well as five or six kits in 2003, paying cash for each transaction. Young's name and several phone numbers were listed in Radomski's seized address book.

Like many others, Young did not respond to interview requests from investigators for the Mitchell Report.
