Kevin Elster (Kevin Daniel Elster) was born on August 3, 1964 in San Pedro, California. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1986 for the New York Mets. In 1988, his rookie year, he hit .214 with 9 home runs and 37 RBI. Elster played for the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Kevin Elster's best season was 1996, when he slugged 24 home runs and knocked in 99 runs.
