Kermit Alexander (Kermit Joseph Alexander) was born on January 4, 1941 in New Iberia, Louisiana. After going to high school at Mount Carmel (Los Angeles, CA), Alexander attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Alexander made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1966 was Kermit Alexander's best year, as he picked off 4 passes, ran back a punt for a touchdown, had 984 kick return yards and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
