Born on December 21, 1925 in Goshen, Utah, Kent Peterson (Kent Franklin Peterson) played for the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 8 year career. Peterson broke into the bigs on July 15, 1944 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.25 ERA in 152.1 innings pitched in 1947, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Kent Peterson's best season was 1947, when he posted a 4.25 ERA and struck out 78 batters.
