Kenny Lofton is a fan favorite in Cleveland

Well my wildest dream has come true.  I never thought I'd see Kenny Lofton back in the wahoo gear.  There was such a large walk up crowd at the Jake the first Friday he played, and he is still recieving standing ovations every time he comes up to the tune of "Big Things Poppin" by T.I. And the Cleveland fans love him, and why should'nt they,he helped almost bring us a championship, he has 450 stolen bases in a Cleveland uniform.

Lofton was argueably the best centerfielder and leadoff hitter of the 90's. Chants of "Grady who?"(in reference to Grady Sizemore)could be heard from my row. Lofton jerseys are going like water at the stadium and local team shops.  His spot in the batting order and the line-up may be different, but the familiar 7 on his back brings back so many great memories of the so called "Glory Days" of the 90's.

Lofton helps a ton in a mediocre Cleveland Indians outfield, with the exception of Grady Sizemore. We got a 300 hitter, speed that strikes fear into the eyes of apposing pitchers even at age 40,and a man who could sell out Jacobs Field by himself. There's something in the air at Jacobs Field now, something many of us haven't felt since 2001,the last time the Tribe was in the post season, and the last time we had Kenny Lofton.

"Grady who" may be a bit too much, but there's no denying that bringing in Lofton was an upgrade. He's a strong veteran presence for a club that didn't have too much of that until now, and his performance in Texas (offensive ballpark or no) makes it clear that he's still got something to give this team on the field. You and your fellow Tribe fans are right to be excited.

Did you guys see the new commercial made when he got traded, where reporters say he's going to about 13 different teams on the same day?

Yup, it's great that we got him back. If he can get a sanding ovation despite the Who's Now theme, that shows how great he is for the team.

The Indians aren't going anywhere if Travis Hafner doesn't start hitting.

The whole team doesn't revolve around one player. The Indians CAN do it without Hafner in my opinion. Yes, he can help A LOT, but I think the Indians can win the division with how he's hitting right now...
