Ken Reitz (Kenneth John Reitz) was born on June 24, 1951 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1972 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1973, his rookie year, he hit .235 with 6 home runs and 42 RBI. Reitz played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Ken Reitz's best season was 1977, when he slugged 17 home runs and knocked in 79 runs.
