Born on March 10, 1934 in Gore Bay, Ontario (Canada), Ken MacKenzie (Kenneth Purvis MacKenzie) played for the Milwaukee Braves, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros over the course of his 6 year career. MacKenzie broke into the bigs on May 2, 1960 with the Milwaukee Braves, and put up a 4.95 ERA in 80 innings pitched in 1962, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ken MacKenzie's best season was 1963, when he posted a 4.84 ERA.
