Ken Kavanaugh (Kenneth William Kavanaugh, Sr.) was born on November 23, 1916 in Little Rock, Arkansas. After going to high school at Central (Little Rock, AR), Kavanaugh attended Louisiana State University. Kavanaugh made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Ken Kavanaugh's best year, as he had 818 receiving yards and caught 13 TD passes.
