Born on February 25, 1959 in Jerome, Idaho, Ken Dayley (Kenneth Grant Dayley) played for the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 11 year career. Dayley broke into the bigs on May 13, 1982 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 4.54 ERA in 71.1 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ken Dayley's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.76 ERA, notched 11 saves and struck out 62 batters.
