Born on October 6, 1913 in Oneonta, New York, Ken Chase (Kendall Fay Chase) played for the Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox and New York Giants over the course of his 8 year career. Chase broke into the bigs on April 23, 1936 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.13 ERA in 76.1 innings pitched in 1937, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ken Chase's best season was 1940, when he posted a 3.23 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 129 batters.
