Kelly Goodburn (Kelly Joe Goodburn) was born on April 14, 1962 in Cherokee, Iowa. After going to high school at Eastwood (Correctionville, IA), Goodburn attended Emporia State University and Iowa State University. Goodburn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1987 was Kelly Goodburn's best year, as he had a 40.9 yard punt average.
