Born on October 25, 1960 in Ogden, Utah, Kelly Downs (Kelly Robert Downs) played for the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 8 year career. Downs broke into the bigs on July 29, 1986 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 2.75 ERA in 88.1 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Kelly Downs's best season was 1987, when he posted a 3.63 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 137 batters.
