Karl Mcdade (Karl Vautrain McDade) was born on March 27, 1915 in Madras, Oregon. After going to high school at U.S. Grant (Portland, OR), Mcdade attended the University of Portland. Mcdade made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
