John Lackey pitched 7 strong innings but ended up with a no decision on Thursday as the Angels eecked out a 10th inning victory over the Kansas City Royals. The Angels overall gave up 2 runs, but niether were earned as they increased thier league leading error count to 49. Hector Carrasco (W,2-2) got the win pitching the 10th when Orlando Cabrera knocked in Mike Napoli. Elmer Dessens pitched 2 2/3rds innings (L, 3-6) giving up a walk to Napoli and the single to Cabrera to take the loss. Cabrera continued his string of games reaching base - now at 45 games. Vladimir Guerrero hit a 2 run HR in the 3rd, his 16th of the year. Perhps most interesting about the game is the fact that it was the Angels 14th victory of the year when they committed an error, out of 35 games, and they barely took the series 3-1 over the worst team in baseball.
