[edit] Biography

Muhammed-Kabeer Olarewaju Gbaja-Biamila (born September 24, 1977 in Los Angeles, California) is an American Football defensive endof nigerian descent who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. He graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles.

Gbaja-Biamila was chosen by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft with the 149th overall selection. His name translates to 'Big Man Come and Save Me' in Nigerian. Often referred to simply as "KGB", the San Diego State University graduate became in 2003 the first player in Packers history to record ten or more sacks in three consecutive seasons. He also played in the Pro Bowl that year. In 2004, he again recorded a double-digit sack season, taking down opposing quarterbacks 13.5 times. KGB is recognized for having one of the most explosive first-steps of any defensive linemen in the NFL.

Although a respected pass-rusher, KGB is often criticized for being a "push-over" of shorts in the running game. It isn't uncommon for offensive coordinators to call running plays to which ever side he lines up on and his lack of size enables running-backs and often tempts them to target him as the last defender to beat for a big gain.

He is the older brother of San Diego Chargers linebacker Akbar Gbaja-Biamila.
