WEEK 8 REPORT
Steelers vs. Bengals – It’s a little chilly in Cinncy today but expect the Steelers to heat up the state of Ohio! (the Browns are not in town). Chad Johnson has been TD less and we haven’t seen anymore of his 16 scripted TD celebrations. If Pitts DEF has their way, Palmer, TJH & 85 will be fantasy failures. Oh yeah – RUDI – is still out. Steelers by 9.
NYG vs. Miami – LIVE FROM LONDON – Who the hell thought of this crap?! Preseaon, fine – regular season you want homefield advantage – oh yeah, the Dolphins don’t have a win yet. Even at home. Well, maybe the fans of London will give them a boost. Don’t plan on it. Giants show those over the pond an American butt whipping! Start all of your Giants. NYG by 15.
Philly vs. Vikings – Coin flip this one folks. Both teams are spooky and magically disappointing. Good news for FFL people but not a betting man. I’ll go with the home team though by 1.
Lions vs. Bears – Another FFL owners dream game. All Offense and no DEF. (except Chicago) Expect the Bears to not make the same mistake that they did in Detroit. There will be no 30+ point comeback. Chicago will be dominant today. Bears by 10.
Browns vs. Rams – These 2 teams used to share the same name. Today the Browns will prove that they have many offensive weapons and know how to use them. The Rams have completely fallen apart and are in the running with Miami for the no win season record. If 2 teams do it this year, those will be it. The Browns FFL owners know all to well to start everyone and even the DEF. Browns by 21. Yeah, I know its BS but hey what if they do it?! LOL. (real # 9). Jamal Lewis and Stephen Jackson are both starting – fyi.
Indy vs. Panthers – Holy Toledo – That’s Vinny! Yes, Vinny starts again. Indy’s DEF will have had a late start in watching film, but may have had to dig up some old VHS or even BETA tapes to watch Vinny. Indy has intiminating factors but Vinny isn’t easily fooled by anyone. This is my GAME OF THE WEEK #1. I would love to watch this one today, but I’m not heading to the pub. That’s a dam shame. Indy could have their closest scare this year with this game, but should still win this. Indy by 3.
Oakland vs. Titans – Butt whipping in effect. Titan FFL owners are going to have a field day. Expect a 21 point blowout easily here. Enough said. Yes, Young will start.
Texans vs. SD – Due to the wildfires, the mental edge goes to the Texans. However, the SD team wants to entertain their hometown crowd and win a game. Even the TERMINATOR is going to be there. Yes, the Big Man, the Gov will be in the house.
Jags vs TB – This one will be too close to call. This is a coin flipper this week and with the Jags under a new captain @ QB – this could be an MJD show – IF THE KNEE IS OK. Expect Garcia to goto the air as the Jags goto the ground. DEF battle here folks. (pick your own winner).
Bills vs. Jets – This should be a very good game. I am going to say that the Jets can pull off a win here. I expect a high scoring game with no DEF and upper 20’s for both teams. The FFL owners are jumping on this one and bet over 44.
Redskins vs. Patriots – Now, I know you’re all thinking “cakewalk” for the Pats. But will the REDSKINS (who blew up the Lions) show up and make it somewhat of a game? We of course are benching our skins (unless u have to because of bye week fillers) and starting every Pat you’ve got. So Pats by 9.
Saints vs. 49ers – FINALLY – the Saints can have a field day! The Niners DEF give up everything under the sun. Start those Saints – but start the Niners too. The Saints DEF have some issues and they could give the 49ers some points. But I expect the Saints by 13.
NO SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IN AMERICA DUE TO THE WORLD SERIES – THE RED SOX SWEEP!
MNF – Packers vs. Broncos – Wow, after beating the Steelers last week, Denver is the rollercoaster team of the year. THIS IS THE GAME OF THE WEEK #2. All FFL owners are starting everybody in hopes of a big win but I expect Mr. Monday Night to continue – Favre has a field day as he always does on MNF and poor Madden sits at home commentating to himself and has his solo love fest for Favre. Packers by7.
Good Luck to all of us this week - and as always, these opinions and views are not the views of Armchair, just me 49erminer. I am not held responsible for your own FFL picks, starters and/or NFL bets that you make or place. These are just my own personal suggestions. Take em or leave em for what they're worth. You are responsible for yourself. So don’t come crying to me next week.
