K.C. Star: Kilian cut by Chiefs (Ex-second-round pick Freeman also let go)

5
Vote

The Chiefs finally made it official. With the addition of two new developmental quarterbacks and Kilian's (maybe not even) pedestrian numbers in Europe, this was just waiting to happen.

On a related note, it's my thinking that with Herm on board and a lot of young up-and-comers, I expect to see even more veteran cuts on the defense beyond Jerome Woods and those cut before him. In 2003, the starters in the secondary were Woods, Wesley, Warfield and McLeon. Now only Wesley remains from those four. Sammy Knight and Greg Wesley may be pushed sooner than they thought for those starting slots.
