Born on March 7, 1919 in Newark, New Jersey, Junior Walsh (James Gerald Walsh) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 5 year career. Walsh broke into the bigs on September 14, 1946 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 5.05 ERA in 62.1 innings pitched in 1950, his rookie year.
