Julio Valdez (Julio Julian Castillo Valdez) was born on June 3, 1956 in San Cristobal, San Cristobal (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1980 for the Boston Red Sox. Valdez played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 4 year career.
