Born on January 28, 1921 in Guines, Cuba, Julio Moreno (Julio (Gonzalez) Moreno) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 4 year career. Moreno broke into the bigs on September 8, 1950 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.88 ERA in 132.2 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Julio Moreno's best season was 1952, when he posted a 3.97 ERA and struck out 62 batters.
