Julian Spence (Julian Carroll Spence) was born on May 5, 1928 in Austin, Texas. After going to high school at Anderson (Austin, TX), Spence attended Sam Houston State University. Spence made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Spence also played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1960 was Julian Spence's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
