Julian Javier (Manuel Julian (Liranzo) Javier) was born on August 9, 1936 in San Francisco de Macoris, Duarte (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on May 28, 1960 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 4 home runs and 21 RBI. Javier played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Julian Javier's best season was 1962, when he stole 26 bases.
