Juan Rios (Juan Onofre Velez Rios) was born on July 14, 1942 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1969 for the Kansas City Royals. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .224 with 1 home run and 5 RBI. Rios played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 1 year career.
