Born on October 21, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, Juan Eichelberger (Juan Tyrone Eichelberger) played for the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 7 year career. Eichelberger broke into the bigs on September 7, 1978 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 3.65 ERA in 88.2 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Juan Eichelberger's best season was 1981, when he posted a 3.50 ERA and struck out 81 batters.
