Josh Whitman (Joshua Harmon Whitman) was born on August 5, 1978 in Lafayette, Indiana. After going to high school at William Henry Harrison (West Lafayette, IN), Whitman attended the University of Illinois. Whitman made his professional debut in the NFL in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 1 year career.
