Josh Clarke (Joshua Baldwin Clarke) was born on March 8, 1879 in Winfield, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on June 15, 1898 for the Louisville Colonels. In 1905, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 3 home runs and 18 RBI. Clarke played for the Louisville Colonels, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Naps and Boston Rustlers over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Josh Clarke's best season was 1908, when he stole 37 bases.
