Josh Ashton (Josh Ashton, Jr.) was born on August 24, 1949 in Eagle Lake, Texas. After going to high school at Eagle Lake (TX), Ashton attended the University of Tulsa. Ashton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1972 was Josh Ashton's best year, as he ran for 546 yards.
