Born on November 29, 1956 in Inglewood, California, Joe Price (Joseph Walter Price) played for the Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 11 year career. Price broke into the bigs on June 14, 1980 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.56 ERA in 111.1 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Joe Price's best season was 1983, when he posted a 2.88 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 83 batters.
