Joe Harris (Joseph Harris) was born on May 20, 1891 in Coulters, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on June 9, 1914 for the New York Yankees. In 1917, his rookie year, he hit .304 with 0 home runs and 65 RBI. Harris played for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators, Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Joe Harris's best season was 1923, when he hit for a .335 average and knocked in 76 runs.
