Jose Uribe (Jose Altagracia Uribe) was born on January 21, 1959 in San Cristobal, San Cristobal (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1984 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 3 home runs and 26 RBI. Uribe played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros over the course of his 10 year career.
