Born on August 20, 1973 in San Jose de Ocoa, Peravia (Dominican Republic), Jose Paniagua (Jose Luis (Sanchez) Paniagua) played for the Montreal Expos, Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 8 year career. Paniagua broke into the bigs on April 4, 1996 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 3.53 ERA in 51 innings pitched in 1996, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jose Paniagua's best season was 2000, when he posted a 3.47 ERA and struck out 71 batters.
