Jose Offerman (Jose Antonio (Dono) Offerman) was born on November 8, 1968 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on August 19, 1990 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1992, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 1 home run and 30 RBI. Offerman played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Jose Offerman's best season was 1998, when he stole 45 bases, hit for a .315 average and knocked in 66 runs.

Jose is more recently known for his assault of an opposing pitcher and catcher in an Independent League game for the Long Island Ducks.
