Jose Mota (Jose Manuel (Matos) Mota) was born on March 16, 1965 in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on May 24, 1991 for the San Diego Padres. Mota played for the San Diego Padres and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 2 year career.
