Jose Lind (Jose (Salgado) Lind) was born on May 1, 1964 in Toabaja, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on August 28, 1987 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .322 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Lind played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals and California Angels over the course of his 9 year career.
