Jose Escobar (Jose Elias (Sanchez) Escobar) was born on October 30, 1960 in La Sabana, Vargas (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1991 for the Cleveland Indians. Escobar played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 1 year career.
