Jose Contreras improved to 5-0 on the year with an AL best 1.41 ERA. He went 7.1 IP for the Chicago White Sox, giving up just 1 run on the way to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners. It was Jose's 13th straight win dating back to 2005.
The difference in the game on offense was a 3-run home run by Jim Thome, his 11th of the year.
Felix Hernandez took the loss for the Mariners to drop to 1-4 on the year with a 5.40 ERA. Maybe with his slow start this year we can all drop the foolishness of referring to a guy who's not even old enough to buy beer yet as "king". The kid hasn't even earned the title of mayor.
