Born on March 24, 1972 in La Delgada, Santiago (Dominican Republic), Jose Cabrera (Jose Alberto Cabrera) played for the Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 6 year career. Cabrera broke into the bigs on July 15, 1997 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 5.92 ERA in 59.1 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jose Cabrera's best season was 2001, when he posted a 2.88 ERA.
