Born on March 14, 1979 in Monte Cristi, Monte Cristi (Dominican Republic), Jose Nunez (Jose Antonio Nunez) played for the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 2 year career. Nunez broke into the bigs on April 3, 2001 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 4.58 ERA in 59 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.
