Born on January 13, 1964 in Jarabacoa, La Vega (Dominican Republic), Jose Nunez (Jose (Jimenez) Nunez) played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 4 year career. Nunez broke into the bigs on April 9, 1987 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and put up a 5.01 ERA in 97 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jose Nunez's best season was 1987, when he struck out 99 batters.
