Jon Melander (Jon James Melander) was born on December 27, 1966 in Fridley, Minnesota. After going to high school at Fridley (MN), Melander attended the University of Minnesota. Melander made his professional debut in the NFL in 1991 with the New England Patriots. He played for the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots over the course of his 4 year career.
