Jon Jenkins (Jonathan R. Jenkins) was born on June 17, 1926 in Frostburg, Maryland. After going to high school at St. Christopher's Academy (MD), Jenkins attended Dartmouth College. Jenkins made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Baltimore Colts. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Baltimore Colts the entire time. Jenkins also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Yanks the entire time.
