Born on September 27, 1979 in Valencia, California, Jon Garland (Jon Steven Garland) played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 7 year career. Garland broke into the bigs on July 4, 2000 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 6.46 ERA in 69.2 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jon Garland's best season was 2005, when he posted a 3.50 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 115 batters.
