Jon Brooks (Jonathan Brooks) was born on June 22, 1957 in Saluda, South Carolina. After going to high school at Saluda (SC), Brooks attended Clemson University. Brooks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Lions over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Jon Brooks's best year.
