Johnny Tomaini (John Tomaini) was born on July 19, 1902 in Long Branch, New Jersey. After going to high school at Long Branch (NJ), Tomaini attended Georgetown University. Tomaini made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Orange Tornadoes. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Newark Tornadoes and Orange Tornadoes over the course of his 3 year career.
