Johnny Thompson (John Henry Thomspon) was born on October 24, 1905 in Lykens, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Kiski Prep (Saltsburg, PA), Thompson attended Lafayette College. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Frankford Yellow Jackets for his entire 1 year career.
