Johnny Strzykalski (John R. Strzykalski) was born on December 14, 1922 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After going to high school at South Division (Milwaukee, WI), Strzykalski attended Marquette University. Strzykalski made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in the AAFC for 4 years, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time. Strzykalski also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1948 was Johnny Strzykalski's best year, as he ran for 915 yards, ran in 4 TDs, caught 7 TD passes and picked off 3 passes.
