Johnny Schulte (John Clement Schulte) was born on September 8, 1896 in Fredericktown, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1923 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .288 with 9 home runs and 32 RBI. Schulte played for the St. Louis Browns, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Boston Braves over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Johnny Schulte's best season was 1927, when he hit for a .288 average.
