Johnny Schiechl (John George Schiechl) was born on August 22, 1917 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Balboa (San Francisco, CA), Schiechl attended Santa Clara University. Schiechl made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears over the course of his 4 year NFL career.Schiechl also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1946 was Johnny Schiechl's best year, as he picked off 3 passes.
