Johnny Sanchez (John Claude Sanchez) was born on October 12, 1920 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at San Diego (CA), Sanchez attended Los Angeles City College and the University of San Francisco. Sanchez made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Johnny Sanchez's best year.
